carwash for Haiti { fort lauderdale lifestyle photographer }

Today, the kids and families in our neighborhood got together and had a carwash to benefit the victims in Haiti.  The kids did most of the washing (although some dads did wash cars towards the end of the afternoon when the kids were tired), and the parents had fun hanging out, bar-b-queing and watching the kids have a great time.  A big thank you to Stu and Sheryl for being so gracious, for having all of us over all day and for organizing the event, and also to everyone in the neighborhood who rallied together for dinner so the rest of us didn't have to cook (always a treat!). The kids were very proud of themselves and raised over $300 today.  I loved watching them get excited to help others.  Here are some pics from the day...
