it's been awhile... {southwest ranches child photographer}

About 9 years to be exact!  I photographed these kids about 9 years ago - when I was still shooting film, before the digital camera was even on the horizon. It was really amazing to see them after all this time, and to spend time with them, capturing them as teenagers.  We did the photo session at their home, with their cute puppy.  They were such great kids, wonderful to be around. The session made me think about when I first started out as a photographer.  So much has changed in the past eight years that it is difficult to even imagine it now.  I remember that when I used to shoot film, I would shoot about 2 to 3 rolls, and really hope for the best.  I would bring my film into my professional lab, and then pick it up the next day with baited breath.  It was so hard to wait to see my images.  Luckily, a few years later, my sister, Gena, convinced me to go digital.  Such freedom!
