time truly does fly { south florida life photographer }

We planned our night away for months, looked forward to being alone together, couldn't wait to celebrate Wayne's 40th with close friends, and then it was over in the blink of an eye.  So, the saying is true - time flies when you are having fun. We left Friday around noon for the Gansevoort Hotel in South Beach.  What a fantastic hotel - so fresh and modern with that South Beach feel.  Our room was HUGE and gorgeous.  I could have stayed in the room the entire time!  We spent some time at the Miami Wine Fair, tasting new wines and hanging out together.  We had time to walk on the beach, just the two of us.  We had an amazing dinner with friends at Texas de Brazil.  OMG - I have never seen men eat so much red meat and just ooh and aah over every bite.  My sister and I loved the vast salad bar with amazing side dishes - perfect for vegetarians.  We ended the night at Plunge, the rooftop bar at the hotel.  A great night and a great celebration for Wayne.

During our time away, as each hour passed, I found myself thinking that our day away was coming closer to an end.  So, I had to force myself to take a deep breath and enjoy each moment.  I feel lucky that I still treasure my time alone with my husband.  Thank you to all of our friends who came down to celebrate with us - it would not have been the same without you. xoxo

I took some photos the first afternoon, but that was it.  I needed to enjoy our time, so I put the camera down.  Here are a few images from our weekend...

waynefootballblog I loved this room!  Of course, Wayne had to try and catch some football before going out.

waynecattailsblog It was such a beautiful day - and the moon was out early.
