When Tracy to called to ask if we would come to Asheville, North Carolina to photograph her wedding, we were thrilled. I met Tracy when I was photographing her cousin Amanda's Miami wedding, and she was the maid of honor. She was such a generous, helpful and wonderful maid of honor, that I wrote an entire blog post about her. Throughout all of the planning, she was so super organized that I was beyond happy! I love a bride with a great sense of how she wants the day to unfold. So, we made a fun trip of the weekend, stopping in Charleston, SC to visit my cousin and his family (blog post in the next few days), and then arrived in NC on Sunday, just in time to start photographing the room and Tracy and Phil getting ready. The ceremony and reception were held at a lovely church in Asheville, the Covenant Community Church. All of Tracy's hard work in creating the personalized details for the wedding really paid off - everything was perfect. Tracy and Phil opted for a First Look (yah!) which gave us more time to photograph them before the ceremony. The church overlooks a mountain, and we were able to find the one shady spot for them to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. It is such an honor to be a witness to the love a bride and groom share on their wedding day, especially in the private moments when they see each other for a first look. Tracy and Phil were so full of love and so much fun - the way they looked at each other, their infectious smiles, the silly faces Phil would make, their obvious joy of being together. The whole evening, from the colorful shoes, the inclusion of Tracy's daughter in the ceremony, the fantastic first kiss (and dip!), the great dances and the fun speeches, was joyful.

To Tracy and Phil - we wish you a lifetime of enjoying each other like you did on your wedding day. Thank you for having us be a part of such a great occasion!! xoxo
