new perspective {weston family photographer}

So, after 10+ years as a lifestyle family photographer, I was in front of the camera with my kids by another photographer.  And, I have to honestly say that I now have A LOT more empathy for my clients.  My children are very used to my camera, and very sick of it (except Reese, who is probably too young to be sick of it).  My friend and photographer, Tracy, talked to me about trading 15 minutes sessions with our kids.  I thought it was a great idea.  My kids didn't.  But because they love me, they went along with it.  And Tracy was great and easy and wonderful.  We walked around with our children in tow, stopping to photograph each other before moving on to our next spot.  I honestly felt bad for Tracy, as Jake was annoyed in about 5 minutes, Reese was making crazy faces, and Cami would take one photo and claim to be done.  I tried my best not to get mad or annoyed at them, but it was tough!! It was such a learning experience for me.  I was hot (90 degrees outside) and bothered (not one of my kids really cooperated), but at the same time, I couldn't let myself care.  I knew Tracy would get something, and since I prefer interactive and playful images, I was not as worried that we wouldn't get that "perfect" photo.  I really want that fun, imperfect photo.  I did wish it was about 20 degrees cooler, but hey, we live in Florida, right?

So, here are some of my favs of Tracy and her two beautiful boys.  Enjoy!! xoxo
